Our Approach

We aim to deploy the new, cutting-edge solutions that will lead the world to net-zero emissions and give everyone in the world access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy so that people can fulfill their potential.

Carbon Capture Technology

Removing excess carbon from our atmosphere and stored underground.

Our strategy links government-funded research, high-tech and patient, risk-tolerant capital to bring and scale transformative Energy Transition technology & innovations to market as quickly as possible.

The widespread adoption of carbon capture technology is crucial for meeting the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting the rise in the global temperature to well below 2°C. According to international energy and climate change agencies, the technology offers one of the few means of dealing with large, stationary emitters of CO2.

Why now?

Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018, signed into law Feb 9, 2018, made numerous changes to section 45Q tax credits of the IRC, giving up to $50 per tonne of CO₂ captured and stored.

Recent tax incentives and policy initiatives, mainly in the US and Europe, create a credible near-term investment opportunity in industries where the cost of CCS is relatively low. These include industries with concentrated CO₂ emissions, which are easier to capture, including natural gas processing, ammonia production, ethanol production, hydrogen production, DAC - direct air capture and other petrochemicals.
